When to seek medical advice
Arrange medical review for persistent abdominal pain, difficulty swallowing, unexplained weight loss, iron-deficiency anaemia, a lasting change in bowel habit, or bleeding from the bowel. Severe pain, heavy bleeding, fainting or vomiting blood requires urgent medical attention.
