Waitemata Endoscopy accepts GP referrals, specialist referrals and appropriate self-referrals for gastroscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy and endoscopic ultrasound.

For GPs and specialists
Please include the indication, relevant medical history, current medicines, allergies, previous endoscopy findings and recent investigations. A referral can be directed to Waitemata Endoscopy without naming a particular endoscopist when the earliest appropriate appointment is preferred.
Urgent referrals
Clearly identify urgent clinical concerns and include relevant results. Emergency symptoms should be directed to acute medical services rather than an elective booking form.
