Dr Pandey has an interest in a wide variety of upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions, including reflux, Coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease and functional GI disorders. She is also an experienced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopist.

She is actively involved in training and teaching future doctors, and is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Auckland. Her current research projects include emerging treatments in IBD.

Professional background

Dr Pandey graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School, UK. She completed her specialist training in both gastroenterology and internal medicine in London, working in several tertiary hospitals across the region.

She moved to Auckland in 2014 to undertake a two-year Endoscopy Fellowship, gaining experience in interventional and advanced endoscopy. She is currently employed at Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) Waitemata as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and General Physician.
