I also practice therapeutic endoscopy and colonoscopy including colonic polypectomy and stenting

Professional background

I trained in New Zealand at Auckland University and passed the FRACS in 1998. Following this, I spent two years training in GI and Colorectal surgery at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

I am currently the Clinical Head of the Colorectal unit at North Shore Hospital and a member of the Melanoma unit. My other professional activities include running the Auckland Surgical Trainee teaching program and surgical research. I enjoy teaching and am happy to teach at GP meetings.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a Member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australasia and a Member of the NZ Society of General Surgeons.
