Dr Daker offers patient focused specialist care in upper and lower gastrointestinal diseases; areas of
expertise include inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal motility including oesophageal
manometry and pH impedance testing, reflux, IBS, functional GI disorders, capsule endoscopy and liver
disease. She is passionate about personalised treatment plans for the provision of optimal clinical care.
Dr Daker is a graduate of Imperial College, London, UK and underwent speciality training in London and New Zealand. She has previously worked in The Royal Free Liver Unit and Charing Cross hospitals in London. She was chosen to be the New Zealand IBD fellow for Cornerstones best of DDW 2018. After obtaining her FRACP in 2019 she undertook a combined fellowship in gastrointestinal motility and endoscopy at Waitemata DHB. Since 2020 she has been employed as a specialist gastroenterologist and physician at Waitemata DHB. She has been an active member of The New Zealand Society of Gastroenterology executive committee.
